The CEPA Annual General Meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium on 21 st and 22 nd June. Representing the IPCA were Philip Cranley and Michael Loughlin.

The event kicked off with an ice-breaker tour of the Comic Art Museum where attendees got to see the history of some very iconic Belgian comic book characters such as TinTin and The Smurfs. Followed by an excellent presentation by Erica Sheward from the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and a networking evening.

The following morning the AGM commenced where Philip Cranley was re-elected for a four-year term as a director on the CEPA Board. The main agenda topic for the meeting centred around the advocacy process that has been carried out and will continue to focus on the Reauthorisation of Biocidal Products to ensure that PCO’s will retain the full toolbox of products to protect public health.

Philip and Michael Loughlin presented the Irish Training model and showed some examples of how modules could be adapted for the European market. This was received very well and approval was given to start the project.
