A note from the Chairman - October 2021

Dear Members,

We are approaching year end and we would like to remind you that this is also the end of the two year cycle for CPE points, to retain your PMU. As you know, the department allowed for PMU’s to stretch the usual 12 month 50 point quota over the two years due to lack of courses last year, with the pandemic affecting everything. So if you got your 50 points in 2020, you do not need to do further this year. But for anyone that hasn’t filled their quota, the CPE Workshop group are taking bookings now for On-Line CPE Workshops that will run on Wednesday mornings from Wednesday 20th October. For anyone who is unsure of their points for this 2020/2021 period, please check with your CPE Scheme Provider via their website portal. The schedule and Booking form will be attached with this ‘Note’.

The IPCA issued a Photo I.D. Card (with PMU number) to members, free of charge, a year or two ago and was well received. We have had requests recently by members who have taken on new staff, for the issue of a card and also some original cards were lost or damaged. These cards were produced by a contractor and is subject to a minimum order. We would like to ask members to submit details (Name, Company, PMU number and a Passport Photo) by mail to IPCA, Tallaght Enterprise Centre, Main Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24. Again, any new applications for cards will be free of charge but replacement cards will be subject to a small fee. It may take some time before cards will be available.

Again, if anyone has any news that they think members may be interested in, feel free to forward to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Keep well.

All the best for now,

Philip Cranley – 13th October 2021
